# Platform apps

# Platform apps

These apps are published by LaunchMyStore in the marketplace. They are built the
same way any third-party app is: OAuth install, an app manifest, the `/api/v1`
Admin API, functions, webhooks, an App Proxy and the extension targets. Nothing
they do relies on a private hook — which makes them worked examples of the
platform as much as products.

| App | What it does | Platform features it is built on |
| - | - | - |
| [Rate Engine](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/rate-engine.md) | Advanced shipping rates: rule builder, weight/price/quantity/postcode/tag conditions, box packing, rate blending | `shipping_rate` + `delivery_customization` functions, admin block, shop metafields |
| [Pickup Hub](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/pickup-hub.md) | Click & collect from the merchant's locations, partner pickup points, ready-for-pickup emails | `local_pickup_options`, `pickup_point_options`, `fulfillment_constraints`, `delivery_customization`, Locations API, order metafields, transactional email |
| [Slot Picker](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/slot-picker.md) | Delivery date & time-slot picker at checkout with per-slot capacity | Checkout UI extension (`ATTRIBUTE_CHANGE`), `shipping_rate`, `delivery_customization`, `order_validation`, `orders/create` webhook, app data |
| [Returns Desk](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/returns-desk.md) | Self-serve returns & exchanges portal, RMA workflow, refunds / store credit / exchanges | App Proxy portal, customer-account blocks, admin blocks + action, Refund API, Gift Cards API, order metafields |
| [Track Hub](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/track-hub.md) | Branded tracking page, shipment timeline, shipping notifications, exception alerts | App Proxy page, fulfilment timeline (`events[]`, `shipment_status`), `fulfillments/*` and `orders/*` webhooks, thank-you / order-status / account blocks |
| [Local Delivery](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/local-delivery.md) | Own-driver delivery by postcode or radius: fees, minimums, days and windows with capacity, route-ordered runs, driver links, proof of delivery | `shipping_rate`, `delivery_customization`, `order_validation` (selected delivery option), checkout block with `DELIVERY_GROUPS_GET`, App Proxy driver page, fulfilment timeline, `orders/create` / `orders/cancelled` |
| [Label Press](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/label-press.md) | Invoices, packing slips, shipping labels, return forms and pick lists; bulk printing; custom templates; invoice emails | Admin print actions (with `id_token`), orders-list block, Orders API, `orders/create` + `fulfillments/create` webhooks, transactional email |
| [Parcel Guard](https://docs.launchmystore.io/apps/parcel-guard.md) | Self-insured shipping protection: cart and checkout toggle, tiered fee product, claims portal with photos, automatic approval, refund / replacement / store-credit payouts, claims dashboard | Storefront app embed, checkout extension (`CART_LINES_CHANGE`), `order_validation`, Products API, `orders/create` + `fulfillments/create` + `orders/cancelled`, App Proxy portal, customer-account and admin blocks, refunds / gift cards / orders APIs |

## How to read these pages

Each page has two halves: **for merchants** (what the app does and how to set
it up) and **for developers** (which public contracts it exercises, with links
to the reference). If you are building an app in the same category, start from
the developer half — the same surfaces are available to you.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The apps keep no database of their own. Settings live in shop metafields,
> per-order state in order metafields, and small indexes in the platform's
> per-app data store — all through the Admin API with the app's own OAuth token.
